We now reached the southernmost city of the world – Ushuia – right around the corner (by Argentinian standards) from the notorious Kap Hoorn. When stepping out of the plane we were directly welcomed by a cold hard wind making it all worth the effort of carrying around our jackets and winter gear. The city is cute and reminds a lot of northern-Scandinavian cities such as Reykjavik or Narvik because of the mountains right behind the city and being by the ocean. In the afternoon we visited an old prison harboring four (!) different museums and Kata got incarcerated for complaining about the rough climate as a Swede \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

\nUshuia – gleich um die Ecke (f\u00fcr argentinische Verh\u00e4ltnisse) vom ber\u00fcchtigten Kap Hoorn. Als wir aus dem Flugzeug stiegen, wurden wir direkt von einem kalten, heftigen Wind begr\u00fc\u00dft, f\u00fcr den es sich lohnte, unsere Jacken und Winterausr\u00fcstung mitzunehmen. Die Stadt ist niedlich und erinnert an viele nordskandinavische St\u00e4dte wie Reykjavik oder Narvik, weil die Berge direkt hinter der Stadt sind und sie direkt Meer liegt. Am Nachmittag besuchten wir ein altes Gef\u00e4ngnis mit vier (!) verschiedenen Museen und Kata wurde eingesperrt, weil sie sich als Schwedin \u00fcber das raue Klima beschwerte \ud83d\ude00<\/span><\/p>\n
